The Transparency Rules may have been causing some headaches for law firms over the past few weeks as they get to grips with the prices and services that they need to display on their websites for certain practice areas.

However, with one of the areas to be covered being the expertise of the lawyers carrying out the work, they should perhaps be regarded as an opportunity to sell what they can do: as the Law Society are saying, consumers should choose their lawyers not based merely on price but also taking into account their experience and previous work.
