There is plenty of food for thought for those in the storage and generation sector in BEIS's latest call for evidence. Proposals include, in the short term:
- multi-year capacity market agreements for low carbon technologies;
- removal of barriers to market for renewable technologies with long build times e.g. pumped hydro;
- split T-4 capacity auctions; and
- a stricter penalty regime for non-delivery.
